Hong Kong Responsible AI is an independent educational self-check operated by Chevan Tin / Animoca Labs. It is not a government service, regulator, legal adviser, or certification body.

Purposes

Provide your self-check score and email the HTML report and one-page PDF.

Produce anonymised aggregates so we can see how the check is used.

Send occasional notes from Hong Kong Responsible AI only if you opt in separately.

Classes of data

Contact email (required to send the report).

Audience, language, and quiz answers.

Score, band, and scoring version.

Technical logs for security and debugging.

Optional: newsletter consent and share-link preference.

We do not collect end-user passwords, payment data, or government identity numbers. We do not sell personal data.

Required and optional

Required: your email, so we can send the report you asked for.

Optional: the newsletter. It is unchecked by default and is a separate consent from the report.

Optional: a public share link. That page shows score and band only — not answers, email, or remediation.

Retention

Raw answers and report emails: 12 months, then deleted or fully anonymised.

If you opt into the newsletter: the email is kept until you unsubscribe. Email the contact above from the subscribed address.

Anonymised aggregates: 24 months.

Share link (score, band, audience, date): until you or an admin revoke it, or it is idle for 24 months. Revoke controls arrive in a later version; until then, email us.

Server logs: 90 days.

We do not keep full IP addresses in analytics. If an address is kept briefly to limit abuse, it is hashed or truncated.

Access and correction

Email hello@hkrai.com to access or correct your personal data. Include the email address you used for the report.

Cross-border processing

The site is hosted on Vercel. The database and email provider may process data outside Hong Kong.

Section 33 of the Personal Data (Privacy) Ordinance (the cross-border transfer restriction) is not in force. We do not describe it as a current legal transfer restriction. We still tell you where the service is hosted and use contractual controls with providers.

Cookies

Essential cookies only: language preference and, for administrators, a sign-in session.

Version 1 has no third-party advertising trackers. If privacy-friendly analytics are added later, they will be described on this page.

Newsletter

The newsletter box is unchecked by default. Consent is separate from the transactional report.

An unsubscribe link appears only on newsletter messages. The report email itself is not marketing.
